Does your existing stage curtains have tags? The tags are located on the bottom of the drape with specific measurements, flame retardancy, date, fullness and any other useful information.
Measure from top of the curtain to the bottom of the curtain. Make sure that the curtain is hanging straight down.
Measure your drape at the top corner of your curtain to the other top curtain (do not measure from the bottom or side)
Make sure to hang your traveler track or pipe batten according to the manufacturer instruction. (We recommend purchasing traveler tracks from ww.automaticdevices.com or www.hhspecialties.com which are the most trusted in the world).
Measure from the bottom of the pipe batten to the floor.
For curtains with grommets and ties, deduct 1-4″ depending on how long you want your curtain to hang. (Keep in mind these curtains will stretch 1-2″ after being hung).
Measure from the bottom of the track to the floor.
If your curtain has grommets and s hooks, deduct 3-4″, depending on how long you want your curtain to hang. If you’re using a trim chain, deduct 5-6″. (Keep in mind these curtains will stretch 1-2″ after being hung).
Measure from the bottom of the track to the floor.
If your curtain has grommets and s hooks, deduct 4-5″ depending on how long you want your curtain to hang, if you’re using a trim chain, deduct 6-7″. (Keep in mind these curtains will stretch 1-2″ after being hung).
Measure from the bottom of the track to the floor.
If your curtain has grommets and s hooks, deduct 6-7″ depending on how long you want your curtain to hang, if you’re using a trim chain, deduct 8-9″. (Keep in mind these curtains will stretch 1-2″ after being hung).
Measure the total width of the floor space your stage curtain needs to cover. If you’re going to have bi-parting drape, it’s best to overlap in the center.
Email your calculation and any additional information such as track, pipe series, stage area and area of space to have curtains.
